戦災復興記念の像
Monument of reconstruction

　　　　　　　　　　（１９７５年１１月建立）

　１９４６年９月、戦災復興計画基本方針に基づき、原爆で焼土と化した浦上一帯が復興土地区画整理区域に決定し、復興事業が始まりました。以来２８年余の歳月を費やし、１９７５年２月に完了しました。

　少年と少女が腰をかけ平和都市として復興した浦上の街を眺めているこの像は、被爆都市再建の記念の碑でもあります。

Urakami region burned by the atomic bomb was designated as a region for the readjustment of town lots to reconstruct,in accordance with the basic policy to plan reconstruction of war damage,they started to work for reconstruction in September,1946.After that it took more than 28 years to complete thatin February,1975.This is also monument,down which a girl and a boy sit and look the reconstructed Urakami town as a peaceful city,for reconstruction of the bombed city.　　　　　　　　　(The erect date Nobember 1975)
