浦上天主堂の遺壁

　この遺壁は西に面した旧浦上天主堂の南側残骸の一部を爆心地公園に移築したもの。
　石柱のずれに注目してください。原子爆弾の爆風の強烈さを表している。

This wall is remnant of the southern portion of the sanctuary which was facing west toward the hypocenter.
It was removed to this site at the time of reconstruction.
Look carefully at the shifted stone columns.
Those are evidence of the tremendous force generated by the atomic bomb explosion.
