Dr.Takashi Nagai the Author Dr.Takashi Nagai began to write when the symptoms of leukemia appeared.His first book after collapsing at Nagasaki station and being confined to bed was Nagasaki no kane ("Bell of Nagasaki").His condition continued to deteriorate,but he expressed his thoughts about the atomic bombing at a feverish pace,finishing 13 books over a period of four years.His last work,Otome Toge ("Maiden Pass"),reached completion only one week before his death. Works of writing at Nyoko-do Dr.Takashi Nagai was confined to bed after moving to Nyoko-do.When his many guests finally left him alone he world begin to write.However,these opportunities were rare and so he usually had to write late at night.
