Monolith at the Hypocenter

The A-bomb exploded 500 meters above this point at 171 Matsuyama-machi in Nagasaki city.
This hypocenter was calculated and inferred according to the directions of the shadows the A-bomb heat rays imprinted on walls and other structures.
The monolith wa rebuilt several times,and the present one dates from 1955.
