Experience of A-bomb

I was bombed at the age of fourteen when students were mobilized to the Mitsubishi arms.
Digging hole to avoid the air attack in each group of 4 or 5 people, something flashed and I fell senseless.
When I became conscious,I recognized to have fall in a faint in hole with a hoe.
Surroundings changed completely and it was hell on earth I waded across the Urakami river and fled toward the hill stepping over dozens of bodies.With no shoes and only briefs,my hands,breast and abdomen were burned black and bulged as others did.
After I returned to my home Gotoh relutantly,I was engaged in confectionery and farming with my father.
But as those were not successful,after I disposed of house and farm in 1957 I came to Nagasaki again and opened bean-jam bun shop in Sakamoto town.

Job

Seven months later,since atomic bomb dropped on next March 9,I got out of the hospital of Omura .In the spring of 1951,I was twenty,I left mechanical department of Nagasaki technical high school.Obtaining technical license of Mitsubishi after leaving this school,I had worked very hard and kept grade good I passed the examination of Mitsubishi shipbuilding but I was disqualified on account of physical checkup.Was it because of ugly scar on my face and keloid on my neck to elbow?I shuddered as a boiling with rage and despair.
Mitsubishi had made the battleship "Yamato" and toypedoes of imperial navy to attack the peal harbor,and consequently Nagasaki became a target!We were made to mobilize by Mitsubishi in our school days,as a result burnt by atomic bomb,with handicapped no compensation and what was worse we fired!After I returned to my home Gotoh reluctantly,I wa engaged in confectionery and farming with my father.But as those were not successful,after I disposed of house and farm in 1957 I came to Nagasaki again and opened bean-jam bun shop in Sakamoto town.

Marriage

I married but I had no children.I don't know if it is because of atomic bomb.We took and brought up two adopted daughters.

Toward the movement of atomic bomb victim

On October 1 in 1955,I and some young men formed "Nagasaki atomic bomb youth association" to appeal victims' suffering and actual conditions.I still repeat going to and coming out of the hospital,and I continue the activity in desperation to aim at the extermination of nucleus arms and the realization of real support for atomic bomb victims.

To world

I don't like looking a mirror yet,besides last year I went to the hospital for two months and underwent an operation.As two daughters were grown-up,I closed down my architecture office and determined to devote the last life to antinucleus and the movement of atomic bomb victims.The supreme property we have to leave for the comming generation is peace.And then it will be a memorial service for the killed.
