Experience of A-bomb
It was sixteen years old that I was bombed I was delivering mails on
the street in Sumiyoshi town.After the sky flashed as lighting I was thrown
with a bicycle on the ground when I came to around my skin on the left arm
peeled off and jung down to fingertip,my back and hips were burned and became
sore and clothes nearly didn't remain.I managed to arrive at the tunnel
factory of Mitsubishi arms but after that I couldn't stand up and started
my crawling life.I wandered some first-aid stations and finally I was sent
to the navy hospital of Omura in November.My half burnt body became rotten
discharge and it flowed on the bed I cried "Kill me!" over and
over again.
The picure taken a boy burnt and become sore red is undoutedly myself.My
back was burned down except for a belt the outside on my left thigh was
all burn my jaw left cheek and breast became sore red and I couldn't stretched
my left arm at only an angle of 110 degrees.
On the third spring I gave permission to come out of the hospital.But
Iwas faced with another worry and fear."Can I work together as a member
of society in such an ugly figure?" or "How do they feel?"
I sobbed outside of sickroom every night.
Job
I returned to post office soon after I came out of the hospital.
Marriage
I grew up to be a man in a treatment of aftereffect.I proposed to some
women but they refused "I can't marry you wounded person who can't
live so long".Luckily,I married through my aunt's help,however,as my
wife had known only the scar on my face,she kept crying when she looked
at my body all through a honeymoon. When we returned to my home,everybody
was surprised .In fact,Iheard they all supposed that we would not return
to home together.Later my life told me that she had thought his aunt had
deceived her at first,but she had soon made up her mind to take care of
him.When our children were born both of us worried if an ordinary baby is
born.Fortunately they were very well,but troubles came out as they grew
up.For example in summer they wanted to go swimming.As I didn't like taking
off my clothes,I always swam putting shirt on.
But as the movement of nuclear ban progressed I decided to take off shirt.I
hoped "If one looks at my body once,I would not like to turn their
face away from me and join the movement togther.I don't want them to carry
unhappiness on their backs like me again.
Toward the movement of atomic bomb victim
In May of 1956,"Nagasaki atomic bomb youth association"which was absorbed by young girl association was organized and I assumed the presidency of it.I work hard for the extermination of nucleus arms and the realization of real support for atomic bomb vitims with Mr.Yamaguchi and others.
To world
50 years have passed since my mother died and worked at post office in 14 years old .Fortunately,my son and two daughters could manage to grow up to be a man with my wife's help.Every uear I undergoes operations for tumor on the keloid but I continue traveling everywhere for anti-nucleus as if I whipe my own sick body.I consider when the symptoms start,I am dead I'll keep giving testimony as far as I live.
